And got LUCKY with parking. I originally squeezed into a MUCH smaller space, but decided I’d be stuck if any car around me moved (like, a 15 point back and forth for the parallel park) and then found this oversized spot that was perfect and close to my apt. I’ll write a review after our road trip with it.

Initial impressions: it’s big. It’s. Big. Second largest vehicle I’ve driven, first being a 15 pas van. It’s also surprisingly quick and is LOADED with tech and cargo space and people room.

Here’s a pic of it parked. Hyped for this trip with my friends

I had a Yukon XL as a rental a few months ago. I was intimidated by it’s size at first but it’s super comfy and all the tech (blind spot, lane keeping, etc) make it a really nice highway cruiser. I even got 20 mpg.

Nice! I really like the new Suburban / Yukon / Escalade. They look sharp.

Have fun!

I’ve realized I love the challenge of large vehicle (growing up with pretty much only camrys / matrix / mazda3, etc). Definitely enjoying it so far. Wish I could go on a cruise today, but I’ll never find another spot in my neighborhood lol

No problem! How much room is in the 3rd row?

I rented one and drove through most of our trip through CO with 7 other people. Biggest thing I have ever driven outside of a 40 foot houseboat, and that was easy. Normally I am not a fan of all safety systems but for the first 24 hours I turned on every damn thing at the highest most sensitive setting before I could get used to it. The altitude made the 5.3 (or 4.8?) V8 not very powerful but nothing beats it in hauling people and luggage.

I’m 6' and can definitely imagine doing a 4 hour ride semi-ok in the back of it. Maybe not much longer, but there’s a surprising amount of room in that 3rd row (not to mention the HUGE amount of room in the cargo area)

Glad it worked out! You wouldn’t have made it that long in the back of the Escalade or Tahoe.
